It is not that often we blow are our own trumpet, but recently we have become certified Amazon AWS consultants. We have trained and certified AWS Solution Architects on staff, and Amazon has recognised that we are skilled in advising clients when it comes to using their services.
What is AWS?
It is Amazon’s Cloud computing service and delivers on-demand IT resources via the internet with pay-as-you-go pricing. Basically, instead of buying, owning, and maintaining actual data centres and servers, it allows a business to access services such as storage, databases, and scalable hosting technology, as and when they need it.
So, who is using it?
Well, every type of business regardless of size or industry are using AWS because of the wide variety of uses. From data backup, disaster recovery, email, software development to web applications. It has many uses for businesses and allows them to be nimble, reactive, and more productive, especially as we are all working more remotely these days.
AWS allows businesses to become more agile.
Most businesses would be attracted to AWS as it allows them to innovate and react faster within their sector. Using the Cloud, a business can access a broad range of technologies so they can innovate quickly and build anything that they need for their business. This can include the basics, storage and database access, but can help with machine learning, data analysis, and much more.
As you only pay for what you need, a business doesn’t need to ‘estimate’ requirements for its systems. AWS systems can scale resources up and down to flex to peak times and demand. Plus, as you are only paying for what you need or use, it is more cost-effective than running your own large servers or buying in technology with expensive upfront costs.
