Manchester / Cheshire based Technical Support Consultant

Greystone are looking for a Manchester / Cheshire based Technical Support specialist to join its growing team of consultants. The candidate’s primary role will be day-to-day technical support and network administration of client’s IT networks as well as internal technical support of Greystone’s own systems.

Previous experience is required in a Windows-based network support / administration type role.

Role responsibilities include user support and coaching, user account management, client access permission management, desktop rollout, application installations and maintenance, software update installations, hardware / license auditing, server administration, creating and maintaining policy and support documentation.

The role will provide the right candidate with great training opportunities and the potential for progression in the technical support arena as well as higher level IT consultancy.

 

Candidate Profile:

  • A responsive attitude to customer support and a very strong work ethic are essential, along with the ability to work unsupervised in a dynamic environment.
  • Approachable and confident when working with all levels of customers.
  • The ability to manage clients and generate income for the company from new and existing clients is highly desirable.
  • Candidates should be based in Manchester / Cheshire and must hold a current driving license and own a reliable car or alternative means of getting to client premises.

Hours: Full time – 9am to 5:30pm with some reasonable out of hours’ work.

Location: Client sites in Manchester and Cheshire and home working.

Travel: A small amount of UK based travel should be expected.

Holidays: 25 days per year.

Remuneration: Salary negotiable depending on skill and experience.
